Pinterest predicts that people will be carving out extra time for “special soaking experiences” this year, with searches for “spiritual cleansing bath” up +180% and “full moon bath ritual” up +90%, the report found. When it comes to wellbeing, bathing rituals are set to be big business and spas should use this information to their advantage. Searches for “goth eyebrows” (+120%), “ombré powder brows” (+50%) and “colourful eyebrows” (+35%) have all rocketed, while it looks like “bleached eyebrows” are about to make a big comeback, with a +160% surge in searches. Meanwhile, defiant brows will also take centre stage, with the platform stating, “nothing is too out-of-the-brow this year”. Pins for “glowing skin – how to get naturally” and “face yoga exercises” have both soared +4x, while searches for “natural everyday make-up” have increased 180%, found the report. This “effortlessly chic” trend will signal the end of the caked-on make-up look, says the platform. When it comes to beauty, 2021 is believed to be the year of skinimalism, with clients letting their natural skin texture shine through.
